Anna Maria Island is a barrier island nestled in the Gulf of Mexico. Beautiful turquoise waters and white sandy beaches are the main attraction here. The  7-mile island is home to 3 cities: the southern city of Bradenton Beach with a population of 2000, the central city of Holmes Beach with a population of just over 5,000 & the northern city of Anna Maria with a population of just over 1800.
